Journalist Economist (Dipl.-Vw.)
Profile

As business journalist in Germany, Christine reports on management, innovation and leadership issues. In recent years her focus has been particularly on marketing and real estate topics.

Throughout her career her speciality has been profiles – on business leaders, economists and people who make a difference.

Christine also gained first-hand experience in American everyday life and corporate world. From 2007 to 2014 she was living in Brooklyn, New York, working as business correspondent for leading German newspapers and magazines like Handelsblatt, Cicero, Absatzwirtschaft, Süddeutsche Zeitung and Deutsches Architektenblatt. She became a member of Weltreporter, the only global network of German freelance correspondents. To her, the transatlantic relationship is an important, complex and often misunderstood field which she continues to study and to report on.

Before her years in the US, Christine had been working as a business journalist in Cologne, Germany, since 1992. From 2004 to 2006 she had a stint as Head of Communications of a midsize German real estate company, LEG NRW GmbH. This contributed to her knowledge of architectural, urban development and real estate issues.
